NOTE: The Small Claims Court in Texas was abolished on August 31, 2013. All cases pending in the Small Claims Court
on August 31, 2013, were transferred to the Justice Court, and are governed by the new Rules of Practice in Justice
Courts. All cases filed in the Justice Courts on or after August 31, 2013 will be defined as Small Claims Cases or
Debt Claim Cases. The new Rules of Practice in Justice Courts also include new rules for Evictions.
- If you are searching for a CIVIL case filed in Small Claims Court prior to August 31, 2013 you must search for Case Type "Small Claims".
- If you are searching for a CIVIL/SMALL CLAIMS case filed after August 31, 2013 you must search for Case Type "Justice Court".
